RESPONSIBLE DRINKING POLICY

1. Our Commitment

At Egan's Ready to Drink Ltd, we are passionate about crafting quality ready-to-drink beverages and equally committed to promoting their responsible enjoyment. We believe alcohol can be part of a balanced lifestyle when consumed responsibly and in moderation by adults of legal drinking age.

This policy sets out our approach to the marketing, sale, and promotion of our products, and offers guidance and resources to help consumers make informed choices about alcohol.

2. Legal Drinking Age

It is illegal to sell or supply alcohol to anyone under the age of 21 in the United States. We strictly follow this law and expect our retailers, distributors, and customers to do the same.

Our website, enjoyegans.com, is intended only for people of legal drinking age. By entering the site, you confirm that you are 21 or older, and we may use age-verification measures to restrict access where appropriate. We do not market or sell our products to anyone under 21, and we take all reasonable steps to ensure our products and communications are not directed at minors.

3. Responsible Marketing

We comply with all applicable federal and state laws governing alcohol advertising, including regulations administered by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), and we follow recognized industry advertising standards such as the Beer Institute, Wine Institute, and Distilled Spirits Council (DISCUS) codes. In particular, our marketing will:

  • Not be directed at, or have particular appeal to, people under 21, and be placed only where the audience is predominantly of legal drinking age.
  • Not suggest that alcohol contributes to social, sexual, athletic, or professional success.
  • Not associate alcohol with driving or operating machinery.
  • Not encourage excessive, rapid, or irresponsible consumption.
  • Not portray abstinence or moderation negatively.
  • Not make unsubstantiated health, therapeutic, or nutritional claims.
  • Always include responsible-drinking messaging where required.

4. Know Your Limits

In the United States, one standard drink contains about 14 grams (0.6 fl oz) of pure alcohol. That's roughly the amount in 12 oz of regular beer (5% ABV), 5 oz of table wine (12% ABV), or 1.5 oz of distilled spirits (40% ABV). Always check the label on our products to see how many standard drinks each container holds.

The 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans advise adults to limit alcohol, noting that less is better for overall health. If you choose to drink, do so in moderation. (Earlier federal guidance recommended no more than one drink per day for women and two per day for men — limits many health organizations still reference.)

It also helps to recognize higher-risk patterns. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) defines binge drinking as about four or more drinks for women, or five or more for men, within roughly two hours. Drinking at this level significantly increases health and safety risks.

5. When Not to Drink

Sometimes the safest choice is not to drink at all. Avoid alcohol if you are:

  • Under the legal drinking age.
  • Pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Planning to drive, operate machinery, or do anything requiring full concentration or coordination.
  • Taking medication that may interact with alcohol — check with your pharmacist or doctor.
  • Managing a medical condition affected by alcohol.
  • Recovering from alcohol dependence or in a treatment program.

6. Never Drink and Drive

Never drink and drive. In most states the legal limit is a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% (0.05% in Utah). Lower limits apply to commercial drivers (0.04%), and zero-tolerance laws apply to drivers under 21. Even small amounts of alcohol can impair judgment and reaction time.

If you plan to drink, plan ahead: line up a designated driver, use public transit or a rideshare, or stay overnight. Before driving, zero alcohol is always the safest choice.

7. Tips for Drinking Responsibly

  • Eat before and while drinking — food slows alcohol absorption.
  • Pace yourself and alternate alcoholic drinks with water.
  • Know the alcohol content of what you're drinking and keep track of how many standard drinks you've had.
  • Avoid drinking games and rounds that push rapid consumption.
  • Never leave your drink unattended, and don't accept drinks from people you don't know or trust.
  • Look out for friends and family, and never let someone drink and drive.
  • Take regular alcohol-free days to let your body recover.
